— The official vibe for 2026
Who am I, you ask?
Hi! I’m Jaimie-Rose, an indie author, blogger, and freelance
editor from South Africa (howzit!). In 2025, right after
changing my degree from accounting to psychology, I
created this website to finally put my words into the world.
My debut novel Troubled, soon to be self-published, is a
young adult psychological coming-of-age about pain,
self-sabotage, and family dysfunction. Because I started
this story at 12, I had the unique experience of aging
around my main character—something that shaped it
into what it needed to be.

Beyond fiction, Puns N’ Roses is my blog for articles and thought pieces with fresh angles, all rooted in psychology and creativity. With two decades of writing under my belt and my studies in social science, I’m psyched to share my perspective and help other writers, artists, and curious minds who love to dig deep into things.
When I’m not writing, studying, or typo hunting, I love reading, practising yoga, learning Spanish on Duolingo, wrangling my three kitties, and/or playing The Sims.

you're telling me i can just write all over this page?
like, anything?

I've also always had a knack for grammar and typos, and after gaining a distinction in formal editorial training from The Writers’ College, I've officially opened for business as a freelance editor through my site, helping other authors, students, and content creators refine their work through copy-editing, proofreading, and academic referencing.
